Karachi Water Tanker Accident: Family Seeks Compensation

A compensation lawsuit has been filed before the Senior Civil Judge (East) at the City Court in Karachi, seeking damages for the death of Talha Zaheer, who was killed after being run over by a water tanker in March 2026. The petition states that Talha was the sole breadwinner of his family, and his death has left his legal heirs facing serious and long-term financial difficulties.

Legal Responsibility of Tanker Owner and Driver

The lawsuit argues that both the tanker owner and the driver are legally responsible for the fatal accident and should compensate the family for their loss. The petitioner has urged the court to hold both parties accountable and award damages to the bereaved family.
