Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication and Works, Shakil Ahmad, has pledged that all available resources will be utilized to ensure the timely completion of the under-construction Khyber Institute of Child Health and Children’s Hospital in Peshawar. He described the project as being of immense public importance.
Meeting to Review Progress
The minister made these remarks while chairing a meeting on Monday in Peshawar to review the progress of the project. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer (Mega Projects) Imran Hussain, Superintending Engineer Adnan Muhammad, Executive Engineer Tariq Afzal, and other relevant officials.
Briefing on Project Status
During the meeting, the Chief Engineer gave a detailed briefing on the status of the project, highlighting the obstacles affecting its completion and presenting measures being taken to remove these hurdles and ensure timely execution.
Concrete Steps Promised
Addressing the participants, the minister said that concrete and practical steps would be taken to complete the Khyber Institute of Child Health and Children’s Hospital on schedule. He further said that the issue of inadequate funding would be addressed on a priority basis.
Coordination with Health Department
The minister emphasized that since the project is directly related to the health sector, its matters would also be brought to the attention of the Health Department and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to facilitate the timely resolution of all outstanding issues.
