Favorable Conditions for Grape Cultivation
Suitable soil and favorable climatic conditions have aided the cultivation of grapes and the production of high-quality fruit. Qassim region is among Saudi Arabia's leading grape-producing regions, with annual production reaching about 30,875 tonnes, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Concentration of Vineyards
Vineyards are concentrated across several governorates, making grapes one of the region's leading fruit crops. Salman Al-Suwaina, director general of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Qassim, stated that the region is among the Kingdom's leading grape-producing regions, with annual production reaching about 30,875 tonnes, supported by the region's agricultural and environmental advantages that have contributed to the sector's growth and development.
