Punjab Ombudsman Launches Mobile Justice Van in Sargodha
Mobile Justice Van Launched in Sargodha Rural Areas

In a significant move to enhance public service delivery, the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab has introduced a fully equipped mobile office van that will bring justice services directly to the doorsteps of rural residents in Sargodha and surrounding areas.

Mobile Office Brings Justice to Rural Doorsteps

The innovative mobile workspace was officially inaugurated on Friday at the Provincial Ombudsman's Regional Office in Sargodha. The ceremony was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Rana Abu Bakr, marking a new chapter in accessible justice for rural communities.

The mobile van represents a complete office on wheels, equipped with modern technology including computers, reliable internet connectivity, and specialized software that enables immediate uploading of public complaints to the system. This eliminates the need for rural citizens to travel long distances to the main Sargodha office.

Comprehensive Support for Complaint Registration

A dedicated team including a Grade-17 officer and support staff will accompany the mobile van during its village tours. The staff will provide essential assistance to citizens who face difficulties in writing applications, ensuring that everyone can access justice regardless of their literacy levels.

The system ensures immediate processing as complaints are forwarded online to relevant departments right from the spot. This digital approach guarantees timely action on public grievances and brings the entire complaint resolution mechanism closer to the people who need it most.

Officials Emphasize Accessibility and Efficiency

The inauguration event saw participation from key officials including Consultant Chaudhry Mumtaz Dev, Advisor Muhammad Ilyas Gul, and Federal Ombudsman Advisor Saif-ur-Rehman. Their presence underscored the importance of this initiative in transforming rural justice accessibility.

Speaking to media representatives, Advisor Muhammad Ilyas Gul emphasized the van's mission to travel from village to village, ensuring that citizen grievances are recorded without unnecessary delays. "The entire online system is designed to guarantee timely processing of complaints and to bring justice closer to the public," he stated, highlighting the commitment to efficient service delivery.

The mobile office initiative represents a major step forward in making government services more accessible to rural populations. By eliminating geographical barriers and providing technical assistance, the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab is setting new standards in public service innovation and citizen-centric governance.
