Child Killed, Four Injured in Lahore Roof Collapse

A child lost his life and at least four people sustained injuries when the roof of an under-construction house caved in Lahore's Baghbanpura neighbourhood on Thursday. Rescue 1122 reported that the roof of the third floor collapsed, killing a child aged between eight and ten years and leaving four others wounded. One person remained trapped under the debris.

Rescue Operations Underway

Rescue 1122 deployed seven rescue vehicles and 25 personnel to the site. The injured were provided first aid and rushed to Services Hospital for further treatment. The rescue operation continued to locate the still-buried individual.

Second Roof Collapse in Two Days

This incident follows a similar tragedy two days earlier in Lahore's Kahna area, where a roof collapse at a tuition centre killed 14 children. The back-to-back collapses have raised concerns about building safety standards in the city.
