In a tragic incident in Mardan, unidentified armed men entered a house in the upscale locality of Sheikh Maltoon Town and opened fire, resulting in the deaths of three people, including a married couple, according to police and Rescue 1122 sources. The attackers stormed the residence and began shooting indiscriminately, killing Jalal Khan, his wife, and another individual identified as Mustafa on the spot.
Response and Investigation
Upon receiving reports of the incident, police and Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene. Rescue officials recovered the bodies of the three victims from inside the house and transported them to a hospital after completing legal formalities. The attack caused panic in the neighborhood, while the assailants managed to flee the scene. Police cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence. The District Police Officer (DPO) of Mardan visited the site, ordered a thorough investigation, and formed special teams to apprehend the suspects.
Police officials stated that efforts are underway to determine the motive behind the attack and to arrest those responsible. However, as of the time of this report, no First Information Report (FIR) had been registered.
