Health Inspector Withdraws Harassment Case in Faisalabad Amid Lack of Support
Health Worker Withdraws Harassment Case in Faisalabad

A Community Health Inspector in Faisalabad has withdrawn a harassment case registered at Samanabad Police Station, with sources claiming inadequate institutional support led to the decision. According to police, Ayesha Javed was conducting a survey in Samanabad on June 16 when a man allegedly harassed her and attempted to drag her inside a house. Residents responded to her cries and rescued her. Police later registered FIR No. 565/26 under Sections 354 and 509.

Lack of Support from Health Authorities

Sources alleged that despite registration of the case, officials of the District Health Authority failed to provide effective legal and administrative support, allowing pressure to be exerted on the complainant. CEO District Health Authority Dr Shehzad Mahmood said no written application had been received from the complainant but a three-member inquiry committee had been formed. He added that the woman informed officials the matter had been resolved.
