Two Senior JAAC Leaders Disassociate, Warn Youth

Two senior members of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), Faisal Gilani and Khawaja Anees, have publicly announced their disassociation from the organisation. In separate video messages, they urged the youth of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to steer clear of the group's activities.

Leaders Cite Deviation from Original Mission

Gilani and Anees stated that the JAAC had deviated from its original mission of advocating for public rights. They alleged that the group was now working against state and national institutions. Gilani claimed the JAAC was serving the agenda of anti-state elements, while Anees described it as an anti-state outfit he no longer wished to be associated with.

Appeal to Kashmiri Youth

Both leaders appealed to Kashmiri youth not to become part of the banned group's activities. Their video messages were widely circulated on social media, reinforcing their call for the youth to avoid involvement with the JAAC.

The JAAC was banned by the government for its alleged involvement in activities detrimental to state security. The disassociation of senior leaders is seen as a significant development in countering the group's influence in the region.
