Widow of Navy Martyr Joins Pakistan Navy as Officer

Alvira Hamza, the widow of Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid who embraced martyrdom, has transformed her loss into strength by joining the Pakistan Navy as a commissioned officer. She earned her commission after receiving the prestigious Commandant Gold Medal and has joined the Pakistan Navy's Information Technology branch.

Speaking about her journey, Alvira Hamza said her husband's sacrifice motivated her to wear the same uniform and serve the country. She described wearing the uniform that her husband once proudly wore as a moment of immense pride for both her and her daughter.

She said that if she could achieve her goal while raising a daughter, other women could also pursue their ambitions with determination.
