President Donald Trump has called on Congress to prioritize passage of a $350-billion defence package when lawmakers return to session, emphasizing the measure is essential for maintaining US military strength.

Trump's Social Media Call

In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump stated that the US military "has never been stronger, or more powerful," noting that recruitment has reached historic levels ahead of schedule and morale is at a record high. He highlighted the "unmatched POWER" of the military during the celebration of 250 Years of American Independence, adding that the "Department of War has never been HOTTER."

Reconciliation 3.0 and Save America Act

Trump urged House and Senate leaders to make passage of Reconciliation 3.0 their top priority, which includes $350 billion for defence spending, alongside the proposed Save America Act. He said, "I am calling on House and Senate Leadership to make this their Number One Priority, and ensure that 350 Billion Dollars in Recon 3.0 moves out of the Budget Committee as soon as Congress is back in session."
