Influencer and podcast host Trisha Paytas has opened up about her recent weight loss journey, revealing that she has shed 26 pounds in less than two months after starting a GLP-1 medication. The 38-year-old creator confirmed that she began taking Zepbound through the healthcare service Ro and has since become a Ro Body ambassador.
Struggles with Weight and Dieting
Paytas shared that the medication helped her manage her eating habits after years of struggling with food and weight fluctuations. According to People, Paytas gained around 80 pounds following back-to-back pregnancies and decided to try a GLP-1 treatment after previously attempting multiple diets and intense workout routines without long-term success.
“I’ve always tried to do it the natural way,” Paytas explained, adding that she had tried extreme dieting and exercise but struggled to see results. She said the medication helped her feel full and develop a healthier relationship with food.
Progress and Lifestyle Changes
Paytas revealed that she started weekly injections on May 11 and went from 243 pounds to 217 pounds in approximately six weeks. She said her motivation was not only about appearance but also improving her energy levels and overall wellbeing. The Just Trish podcast host explained that she has also increased her physical activity, moving from exercising a few times a week to daily workouts that include cardio and Pilates.
Paytas said the weight loss has helped her feel more confident and active, revealing that she has started running for the first time and hopes to eventually complete a marathon.
Long-Term Plans
While discussing her future with GLP-1 medication, Paytas said she believes it may become a long-term part of her health routine because it has helped her stop obsessing over food and focus on living a healthier lifestyle.
