A former personal chef has filed a lawsuit against Kylie Jenner, alleging that physically demanding working conditions during her high-risk pregnancy contributed to a miscarriage and that she later faced discrimination, harassment, and wrongful dismissal. The complaint was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Allegations of Grueling Work Conditions
The unnamed woman claims she worked as Jenner’s private chef starting in November 2024, regularly completing 11- to 12-hour shifts, five days a week. According to court documents, she informed her supervisors the following month that she was three months pregnant and required reasonable accommodations to protect her health and pregnancy.
The lawsuit alleges that on New Year’s Eve 2024, she was instructed to lift and transport heavy food items across the street and uphill without assistance. The chef claims the work caused her to become dizzy, choke, and gasp for air before security staff intervened to help.
Birthday Party Incident and Miscarriage
The lawsuit further alleges she was required to work at one of Jenner’s child’s birthday celebrations in Palm Springs in early February 2025 without adequate support. “Due to exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain, [she] broke down emotionally in the bathroom during the event,” the court filing states.
According to the complaint, the following morning she suffered severe blood loss and was informed at the hospital that there was no detectable heartbeat and that she had lost her unborn child.
Claims of Discrimination and Harassment
The chef is seeking unspecified damages, alleging pregnancy discrimination, harassment, failure to provide reasonable accommodations, unpaid wages, misclassification as an independent contractor, and wrongful termination. She also claims a supervisor told her, “Stop it, just stop it. You are upsetting Kylie. You are making her depressed.”
Third Lawsuit Against Jenner in 2026
This is the third lawsuit filed against Jenner by a former employee in 2026, following separate legal claims brought by two former housekeepers. The case highlights ongoing legal challenges for the reality TV star and businesswoman.
