Chiniot Furniture Market Beautification in Final Phase

The beautification project of Chiniot’s Furniture Market has entered its final phase under the Punjab government’s development initiative. Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan, Adviser to the Chief Minister Zeeshan Malik and Commissioner Faisalabad Musarrat Jabeen visited the project site along with Deputy Commissioner Chiniot Ayesha Rizwan.

Project Details and Scope

Officials said the project includes renovation of the Municipal Committee Mosque, restoration of shop fronts, installation of uniform signboards, storm-water drains, sheds, Victorian-style lighting, cable management, a motorcycle parking plaza and landscaping works. Construction of the main entrance gates is nearing completion.

Officials Appreciate Progress

The visiting officials appreciated the pace of work. Traders thanked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for improving the city’s famous furniture market. According to the officials, the project is expected to boost tourism and local business.
