iPhone 18 Pro Leaked on Dark Web After Supplier Breach

Leaked iPhone 18 Pro photos and parts lists have surfaced on the dark web after a data breach at one of Apple's key suppliers, according to a report from Reuters. The leaked images show a drop test of what a source tells Reuters is the iPhone 18 Pro, featuring a three-camera layout and the Apple logo.

Supplier Breach and Ransomware Group

The breach occurred at Tata Electronics, an India-based company that manufactures iPhone components and assembles devices. Tata Electronics confirmed the data breach just a week before the leak. Security researchers told Reuters that the ransomware group World Leaks posted more than 200,000 files related to the breach on the dark web. The leaked documents reportedly include files belonging to some of Tata's clients, such as Apple and Tesla.

Leaked Content and Details

In addition to images of the iPhone 18 Pro, Reuters reports that at least six files detail the hundreds of components used in the device, along with a list of their suppliers. AppleInsider also reported last week that the leaked documents show purported board layouts for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, as well as data sheets for the rumored A20 Pro chip. Video clips appearing to show a drop test for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro were shared on X by an account imitating the well-known leaker EvLeaks before the account was suspended.

Apple's Response

Apple is concerned about the documents being shared on the dark web, according to Reuters. The Verge reached out to Apple for comment but did not immediately receive a response. The leak comes as Apple continues to develop its next-generation iPhone models, and the exposure of component lists and board layouts could provide competitors with insights into Apple's design and supply chain strategies.
