9th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition Concludes in Kharian
The 9th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition has successfully concluded at Kharian, marking a significant milestone in multinational military cooperation. This prestigious event, designed to foster professional development and tactical excellence, brought together armed forces from across the globe for an intensive training exercise.
Intensive 60-Hour Patrolling Exercise
The Team Spirit Competition represents a rigorous 60-hour long patrolling exercise specifically structured to enhance professional military capabilities. Through this demanding format, participating teams engage in the exchange of innovative ideas, tactical experiences, and best practices that elevate operational standards. The exercise serves as a critical platform for developing interoperability and refining combat techniques under challenging conditions.
Wide International Participation
This year's competition witnessed extensive participation from nineteen countries, demonstrating its growing international significance. The participating nations included:

Additionally, Myanmar and Thailand attended the exercise as observers, further expanding the event's diplomatic and strategic reach. Sixteen domestic teams from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy actively participated, with observers from the Pakistan Air Force also present at the event.
Chief of Army Staff Commends Participants
Addressing the closing ceremony, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir commended all participating teams for their exceptional professionalism, physical and mental endurance, operational competence, and high morale displayed throughout the exercise. He emphasized the vital importance of such multinational engagements in enhancing collective preparedness and adapting to the evolving character of modern warfare.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the core values of the Pakistan Army, underscoring the enduring soldiery attributes of "character, courage and competence" that have been consistently demonstrated by Pakistani soldiers, particularly in the ongoing fight against terrorism. The Chief of Army Staff presented awards to outstanding participants of the competition, recognizing their exemplary performance during the challenging exercise.
Visit to National Counter Terrorism Centre
Following the competition, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir witnessed miscellaneous training activities at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi, including a visit to the newly established Tactical Simulator. He lauded the efforts of troops and technical teams, emphasizing the importance of simulator-based training to complement traditional training methods. This integration of advanced technology with conventional approaches represents a forward-looking strategy for military preparedness.
