SP Faisal Akram formally assumed charge as the new SP Motorway Police, M-2 South Sector, in Sargodha on Thursday. He was warmly welcomed by officers and personnel, who extended their best wishes for his tenure, according to a Motorway Police spokesperson.

After taking charge, SP Faisal Akram visited various sections of the office and planted a sapling in the premises as part of a tree plantation activity, underscoring the force's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Faisal Akram stated that the primary objective of the Motorway Police is to provide safe, efficient, and high-quality travel facilities to the public. He emphasized that all available resources would be utilized to ensure public service, strict enforcement of traffic laws, and promotion of road safety. He made it clear that no leniency would be shown towards traffic violations, particularly overloading and overspeeding, which pose serious risks to road users.
