In a significant crackdown against illicit activities, Rawalpindi Police have apprehended seven individuals and confiscated a substantial quantity of alcohol and weapons in coordinated operations across the district, authorities confirmed on Friday.
Multiple Police Stations in Action
The operations were carried out by several police stations, leading to separate but impactful recoveries. According to an official police spokesperson, the actions demonstrate the force's continued vigilance against crime.
Details of the Raids and Recoveries
The Ganjmandi Police team successfully arrested one suspect and recovered a significant haul of 20 litres of liquor.
In a separate action, the Kallar Syedan Police outpost proved highly effective, detaining three suspects. From them, the police seized 12 litres of liquor as well as a cache of illegal weapons and ammunition.
Meanwhile, the City Police detained one individual and recovered five litres of liquor from his possession.
In a smaller but notable interception, the Civil Lines Police recovered a bottle of liquor from another person.
Adding to the haul of illegal arms, the Chaklala Police arrested one suspect and seized weapons along with ammunition.
Ongoing Campaign and Legal Action
This crackdown is part of a broader campaign by Rawalpindi Police. In related efforts, the force has also recently netted two major drug suppliers and seized over 13 kilograms of hashish.
The police have taken strict legal action following these latest raids. Separate cases have been registered against all the accused individuals under relevant laws, and further investigation is underway.
