Sanghar Launches Justice Hub to Offer Free Legal Aid to Vulnerable Citizens
Justice Hub Inaugurated in Sanghar for Free Legal Aid

In a significant step towards legal empowerment, Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sarah Javed inaugurated the "Justice Hub" program, aimed at providing crucial legal support to society's underprivileged. The initiative, spearheaded by the Legal Aid Society, promises to bridge the justice gap for those who cannot afford legal representation.

Empowering Citizens Through Legal Awareness

Addressing the inaugural ceremony at the Legal Aid Society's office, Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed commended the organization for carving out a distinct position. She emphasized that the hub would provide free legal assistance and awareness of legal rights to the poor, middle-income, and marginalized segments. She noted that this effort would particularly benefit people unfamiliar with the complexities of the legal system and could help reduce domestic disputes by resolving issues through dialogue and legal guidance.

A Hub for Justice and Rule of Law

The ceremony was attended by key figures including Head of the Justice Hub, Justice (Retd) Arif Hussain Khilji, and CEO of the Legal Aid Society, Barrister Haya Zahid. They informed attendees that the Justice Hub was established to promote the values of justice, the rule of law, and improve citizens' quality of life. This would be achieved by legally empowering vulnerable and underprivileged groups under the supervision of registered legal experts.

The officials added that the initiative would not only offer free legal advice but also facilitate access to higher institutions for those in need. Other notable attendees included Incharge Early Warning System Sanghar Sabir Hussain Mehar, Additional Director Social Welfare Muslim Farooq, Provincial Head of Legal Aid Danish Ali Soomro, Liaison Officer Advocate Asif Ali Mirani, and Advocate Nauman Maqbool.

How to Access Free Legal Help

A vital component of the Justice Hub is its accessible helpline. The participants were informed that free legal consultation can be obtained by calling the helpline at 0800-70806. This service is expected to be a lifeline for many residents of Sanghar district who require guidance on legal matters but lack the financial means to seek traditional counsel.

The launch of the Justice Hub marks a proactive move by the local administration and civil society to ensure that justice is not a privilege for the few but a right accessible to all, strengthening the social fabric through legal empowerment and awareness.
