In a decisive blow against terrorism, Pakistani security forces have eliminated at least seven terrorists belonging to an Indian-sponsored khwarij network during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Operation Details and Intense Firefight
The action took place in the general area of Kulachi, within Dera Ismail Khan District. According to an official press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched based on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group, Fitna al Khwarij.
During the conduct of the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorist location. An intense fire exchange ensued, resulting in seven khwarij terrorists being "sent to hell." The security forces also recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, who were confirmed to have been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities plaguing the region.
The Ultimate Sacrifice of a Brave Son
The success of the operation came at a great cost. During the fierce firefight, Naik Yasir Khan, age 34 and a resident of Mardan district, fought gallantly but paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat. The nation mourns the loss of its brave soldier, who laid down his life in the defense of the country.
Ongoing Sanitization and National Resolve
Following the initial engagement, a sanitization operation is currently underway in the area to eliminate any other terrorists that may be hiding. The ISPR statement emphasized that this operation is part of the relentless counter-terrorism campaign being waged under the vision of "Azm-e-Istehkam" (Resolve for Stability).
This vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, guides the full-paced efforts of Pakistan's Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies. Their stated goal is to completely wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistani soil. The recovery of Indian-sponsored weapons further underscores the external threats facing the nation.
The operation in Dera Ismail Khan is a clear testament to the ongoing sacrifices made by Pakistan's armed forces in securing the nation's future and stability.
