This province, blessed with vast natural resources, continues to see its populace mired in deprivation and neglect. Long-standing issues remain unaddressed, while new crises surface with alarming regularity, compounding the region's woes.
A Troubling Shift in Balochistan's Social Fabric
In many urban centers across Pakistan, women are actively contributing to economic growth, advancing in educational fields, and making strides in scientific endeavors. However, Balochistan presents a starkly different and deeply troubling narrative. Here, a disturbing trend is emerging where some women are increasingly involved in terrorist activities, marking a significant and alarming development.
The Escalating Pattern of Female Involvement
While terrorism has been a longstanding issue in the region, the participation of Baloch women in such violent acts is witnessing a noticeable and worrying increase. Recent incidents underscore this dangerous shift. Sari Baloch executed an attack at Karachi University, followed by Sumaya Qalanderani Baloch's involvement in a military convoy assault in Turbat. More recently, Zinat Rafiq Baloch lost her life during an attack on an FC headquarters.
Perhaps the most shocking aspect of these cases is that these women were educated individuals. Their involvement raises profound and urgent questions: What drives educated women to align with extremist groups? What motivates them to undertake such violent actions? These are critical inquiries that demand immediate attention and analysis.
The Deafening Silence and Its Consequences
