Pakistan Security Forces Neutralize 41 India-Backed Militants in Balochistan Operations

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday that Pakistan's security forces successfully conducted two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan on January 29, resulting in the elimination of 41 militants affiliated with India-backed groups. These decisive actions targeted the militant organizations Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, which have been involved in numerous acts of terrorism in the region.

First Operation in Harnai District

According to the military's media wing, the first operation was launched on the outskirts of Harnai district following credible intelligence reports indicating the presence of militants linked to Fitna al Khwarij. During this engagement, troops confronted a militant hideout, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, 30 militants were killed in the operation.

Security forces recovered a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the site. To prevent any future misuse, all recovered materials were subsequently destroyed, ensuring they could not be used against civilians or security personnel.

Second Operation in Panjgur District

In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Panjgur district, security forces targeted another militant hideout associated with Fitna al Hindustan. This raid resulted in the elimination of 11 militants. During the operation, forces seized weapons, ammunition, and looted cash, including money taken during a bank robbery in Panjgur on December 15, 2025.

The recovery of this stolen cash highlights the militants' involvement in criminal activities beyond terrorism, such as bank robberies, which have destabilized the local economy and security situation.

Ongoing Sanitisation Efforts

The ISPR confirmed that the militants killed in both operations were responsible for multiple acts of terrorism in the area, posing a significant threat to regional stability. To ensure complete security, sanitisation operations are currently underway in the affected regions of Balochistan.

These efforts aim to eliminate any remaining militants and safeguard the local population from further threats. The military's proactive measures demonstrate Pakistan's commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the province.

This development underscores the ongoing challenges in Balochistan and the effectiveness of Pakistan's security forces in addressing external-backed militant threats through precise intelligence and coordinated operations.
