In a significant relief effort, food packages were distributed among families impacted by recent Pak-Afghan border clashes in Sheen Pokh, a bordering area of Loy Shelman tehsil in Landi Kotal, on Sunday. The distribution was led by Assistant Commissioner Landi Kotal Inamullah Khan Wazir, who was accompanied by Tehsildar Landi Kotal Temour Afridi and Maulana Shoaib, the focal person to Member of the Provincial Assembly Adnan Qadri.

The relief packages contained vital food items, including flour, ghee, pulses, tea, and other basic commodities, specifically designed to assist displaced families throughout the holy month of Ramazan. Speaking at the event, Mr. Wazir emphasized the district administration's unwavering commitment to supporting affected families. He stated, "The district administration of Khyber will not abandon those affected by the conflict and will provide essential assistance to the best of its capacity." He further noted that the provincial government is fully aware of the challenges confronting displaced families and is actively working to address their urgent needs.

Residents who received the aid expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the district administration and local lawmakers for the timely assistance during Ramazan. The distribution comes in response to the displacement of hundreds of families following nearly two weeks of cross-border shelling along the Pak-Afghan frontier. Communities in Bacha Maina, Torkham, Landi Kotal, and Shelman were compelled to evacuate their homes and seek refuge in safer areas due to indiscriminate firing.
