Youm-e-Takbeer: PML-N Lawyers Forum Sindh celebrates nuclear milestone

The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Lawyers Forum Sindh organized a cake-cutting ceremony at the New Bar Room, City Court Karachi, to commemorate Youm-e-Takbeer. Barrister Raja Khaliq-uz Zaman Ansari, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for Sindh, presided over the event.

Significance of Youm-e-Takbeer

Barrister Raja Khaliq-uz Zaman Ansari highlighted that Youm-e-Takbeer marks May 28, 1998, when Pakistan became the seventh nuclear power in the world. He paid tribute to former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his courageous decision to conduct six nuclear tests in response to India's five tests, ensuring Pakistan's defense became impenetrable.

Tributes to Leadership

Ansari also commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir. He emphasized that the lawyers of Sindh, particularly in Karachi, stand firmly with Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He reiterated their commitment to fighting for the supremacy of the constitution and law in Sindh, vowing not to remain silent on human rights violations.

Furthermore, Ansari paid homage to nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan for his pivotal role in Pakistan's nuclear program.

Party Appointments and Attendees

Barrister Raja Khaliq-uz Zaman Ansari, also President of PML-N Lawyers Forum Sindh, announced the appointment of Sardar Sagheer as Senior Vice President and Kareem Nawaz Qureshi as Vice President of the forum. The ceremony was attended by notable figures including former Member Sindh Bar Council Aslam Bhutta, Secretary General PML-N Sindh Lawyers Forum Sajid Awan, Information Secretary Zubair Samejho, President Karachi Division Ali Zaman Tanoli, Secretary General Karachi Division Mir Rafiq, and Senior Vice President Sindh Zameer Sadiq Awan.
