Peshawar - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, has asserted that the increasing number of individuals joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is clear evidence that the party's founding chairman, Imran Khan, remains the most popular political leader in the country. He further claimed that PTI has emerged as the largest public and political party in Pakistan. Shafi Jan expressed these views during a dignified ceremony held at the Chief Minister's House in Peshawar to welcome prominent political and social figures from Bangash, Kohat into PTI.
New Members Welcomed
Those joining the party, along with their families, included former District Nazim Malik Musawir Hussain, former Tehsil Nazim Mehnaz Ali, and Iftikhar Ali Shah. On the occasion, former Chairman Syed Waqar Shah, Rashid Sheikh, Zakat Chairman Naeem Khan, and former Nazim Shahryar Khalid were also present. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and Provincial Minister Shafi Jan presented party scarves to the new entrants as a gesture of welcome.
PTI's Ideological Commitment
Congratulating the new members, Shafi Jan said that PTI is an ideological and people-centric political party committed to public service, transparent governance, merit, rule of law, and development of the province. He emphasized that people have rejected traditional politics and political cultures based on personal interests. The minister highlighted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has undertaken historic initiatives in the sectors of health, education, communications, tourism, youth welfare, and social protection, the positive impacts of which are reaching the public. He said this is the reason why people of the province continue to place their trust in PTI.
Shafi Jan further stated that PTI's politics revolve around the common citizen and that the party believes in taking all segments of society along on the path of progress. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, the provincial government will continue its efforts to resolve public issues, strengthen institutions, and ensure sustainable development across the province. Expressing his commitment, the provincial minister said that PTI will further accelerate the journey of development and prosperity in accordance with the aspirations of the people and will take all possible measures to uphold the trust reposed in the party by the public.
