Faisalabad Commissioner Launches Comprehensive Industrial Safety Campaign
Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar has officially launched a rigorous campaign aimed at assessing the operational capacity of boilers and pressure vessels across factories, mills, and industrial units in Faisalabad. Simultaneously, the enforcement of fire safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is being actively pursued to ensure workplace safety.
Inspections Focus on Boiler Performance and Fire Safety Measures
During his visits to various mills, Commissioner Anwar meticulously reviewed the performance and condition of boilers and pressure vessels. He issued directives to management teams, instructing them to immediately replace any equipment whose approved operational life had expired. This proactive approach is designed to prevent potential accidents and enhance industrial efficiency.
In addition to boiler inspections, the Commissioner conducted thorough checks on the availability and functionality of firefighting equipment within the mills. He emphasized that the protection of human lives remains the top priority in all industrial operations. Highlighting the divisional administration's initiative, he noted that inspections of boilers and pressure vessels are also being carried out by private companies to ensure comprehensive oversight.
Hotel Safety Under Scrutiny on Sargodha Road
Extending the safety drive beyond industrial settings, Commissioner Anwar inspected hotels located on Sargodha Road. During a visit to the Best Western Hotel, he examined the availability of firefighting equipment, verified their expiry dates, and assessed emergency exit routes to be utilized in case of any untoward incidents.
The Commissioner issued a stern warning to the hotel management, mandating that all fire safety measures be completed in strict accordance with established SOPs within one month. This move underscores the administration's commitment to enforcing safety standards across diverse sectors, from manufacturing to hospitality.
This campaign reflects a broader effort to bolster safety protocols in Faisalabad's industrial and commercial landscape, aiming to mitigate risks and safeguard both workers and the public.
