MUZAFFARGARH - In line with the open doors policy of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah conducted a daily open court session at his office to directly address public grievances and ensure timely resolution of citizens' complaints.

Direct Engagement with Public

During the proceedings, the DPO personally reviewed complaints submitted by citizens, heard their concerns in detail, and issued on-the-spot orders to the concerned officers for immediate action and resolution. He stated that the purpose of holding daily open courts is to ensure direct engagement with the public, provide swift redressal of police-related grievances, and strengthen trust between citizens and the police department.

He further emphasized that transparent policing and prompt resolution of public complaints remain top priorities of the district police administration, adding that such initiatives will continue on a regular basis to facilitate citizens at their doorstep.

Meeting on Judicial Coordination

Meanwhile, on the special directives of DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, SP Investigation Nasir Mahmood convened an important meeting at the District Police Office with all prosecution liaison officers, court focal persons, DFCs, and Naib Courts from across the district.

According to Police Focal Person Waseem Khan Gopang, the meeting focused on ensuring strict implementation of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improving coordination regarding judicial matters. All concerned officials were directed to ensure 100 percent compliance with departmental guidelines and court-related procedures.

SP Investigation Nasir Mahmood emphasized that no negligence or delay in judicial affairs would be tolerated under any circumstances. He instructed officials to ensure the timely execution of summons and arrest warrants issued by honorable courts and directed that replies to orders issued by the High Court and subordinate courts must be prepared and submitted within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any hindrance in judicial proceedings.

Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Mahmood stated that coordination between the police department and the judiciary is being further strengthened to uphold the rule of law and ensure the prompt delivery of justice to the public. He further warned that strict departmental action would be taken against any officer found guilty of negligence, inefficiency, or carelessness in the discharge of official responsibilities.
