According to police reports, the incident occurred in the E-11 sector of Islamabad when Group Captain Asim Tariq attempted to rescue a woman from an attacker. He was shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The suspect, identified as a local resident, was arrested by police and is under investigation.
