He emphasized that the Islamic world must come together to confront the numerous pressing challenges it currently faces during this transformative global phase.

Addressing Multiple Crises Across Muslim World

Speaking at the International Qirat Competition, Dar specifically referenced the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, along with conflicts in Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria. He also mentioned recent attacks targeting Iran and Qatar as examples of the challenges demanding collective attention.

The Foreign Minister stated that both the Muslim world and the broader international community are confronting numerous difficulties that require collective strength and harmony to overcome. He reminded the audience that the Ummah is fundamentally connected through shared faith and called upon religious scholars to actively promote unity across all societal segments.

Islam's Stance Against Terrorism and Pakistan's Efforts

Dar delivered a strong message about Islam's position on violence, stating clearly that Islam rejects all forms of terrorism and extremism. He emphasized the Islamic teaching that taking one innocent life is equivalent to killing all of humanity.

The Foreign Minister highlighted Pakistan's previous success in combating terrorism, noting that terrorism and suicide attacks were eliminated during Nawaz Sharif's government in 2017-18. He reaffirmed the current government's determination to once again root out this menace completely.

In a sobering revelation, Dar shared that approximately 4,000 security personnel were martyred and thousands more injured in the fight against terrorism between 2021 and 2025. He reiterated the full commitment of both the government and military leadership under Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir to eradicate terrorism completely.

Encouraging Youth and Future Initiatives

Welcoming participants from over 40 OIC member countries, Dar announced that the international Qirat event would now become an annual feature. He encouraged young participants to seek guidance from the Holy Quran and Sunnah while adopting qualities of tolerance, compassion, humanity, and interfaith harmony.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Constitution of Pakistan is firmly rooted in Islamic principles and called upon the younger generation to uphold these values to help steer the country toward progress and prosperity.

Dar's message of unity resonated throughout his address as he urged the Muslim community: "Be united as no power on earth can harm us," while reminding them that Allah has blessed the Ummah with abundant resources to overcome current challenges.
