Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Rape Criminals
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi has directed authorities to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against individuals involved in rape cases across the province. He stressed that such criminals should be made an example and must not be allowed to escape legal punishment.
Review Meeting on Development and Law and Order
The Chief Minister issued these directives while chairing a high-level review meeting on development projects, law and order, governance, and service delivery in Kohat Division. He said that divisional-level review meetings were being formally initiated following the approval of the provincial budget, emphasizing that public trust, positive feedback, and citizen satisfaction would remain the true benchmarks of success.
Special Attention for Southern Districts
He stated that the law and order situation in southern districts required special attention and reiterated the government's commitment to addressing security challenges and making the new fiscal year a period of peace, development, and prosperity. He added that significant allocations had been made in the budget for police, health, and education sectors, while increasing police strength in southern districts was also under consideration.
Directives for Improved Service Delivery
The Chief Minister directed district administrations to maintain close contact with the public, improve service delivery, and ensure the timely completion of development projects. He also instructed authorities to expedite efforts for a long-term solution to the issue of clean drinking water in southern districts.
Crackdown on Narcotics
Calling narcotics a serious social menace, he ordered an indiscriminate crackdown against drug dealers and directed authorities to implement measures for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.
