Peshawar - Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, through its Directorate of Admissions & Academics, has officially announced the registration schedule for the KMU Centralized Admission Test (CAT) 2026. This mandatory entrance examination is required for admission to various undergraduate programs offered by KMU's constituent and affiliated institutes for the academic session 2026-27.
Registration and Test Dates
According to the announced schedule, online registration will begin on June 10, 2026. The first admission test will be held on July 26, 2026. To provide students with additional opportunities to improve their scores, subsequent tests have been scheduled for September 20, 2026, and October 25, 2026.
Programs Covered
The CAT 2026 will serve as the gateway to a wide range of sought-after health sciences programs. These include Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Pharm-D, BS Nursing (Generic), BS Allied Health Sciences, BS Public Health, BS Medical Microbiology, BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics, BS Speech and Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Audiology, BS Optometry, BS Clinical Psychology & Behavioural Sciences, and BS Aesthetic & Skincare Technology.
Test Centers
To facilitate applicants from across the country, KMU has established test centers in 14 cities and regions. These include Peshawar, Islamabad, Swabi, Mardan, Malakand, Swat, Lower Dir, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Haripur, Chitral, and Parachinar.
Eligibility and Application Process
Eligibility for the test includes candidates who have passed FSc (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent examination, as well as those awaiting their final results. According to a press release issued by the media section of the university, applicants are required to register online through the KMU CAT portal at https://cat.kmu.edu.pk. They must create an account, select their preferred test date and examination center, and deposit the prescribed processing fee through any branch of the Bank of Khyber. Students wishing to improve their scores may reappear in subsequent tests by submitting a fresh application and fee.
