BNU Launches Publications for Student Well-Being and Drug-Free Campuses

LAHORE - The Beaconhouse National University (BNU) will launch two transformative publications on Saturday aimed at strengthening student well-being and creating drug-free safe campuses across Pakistan. The publications, titled 'Campus Care: A Guide to Psychological First Aid' and 'From Risk to Resilience: BNU Substance Use Control Program,' will be unveiled at a special ceremony at the university.

Event Details

The event will formally operationalize BNU's Drug-Free Safe Campus Model, positioning it as a national and international benchmark for higher education institutions in line with standards set by UNODC, WHO, and UNESCO. BNU Vice Chancellor Dr. Moeed W. Yusuf will deliver the keynote address, highlighting the strategic vision behind the initiative and the publication launch.

Chief Guests

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Provincial Minister for School and Higher Education Rana Sikandar Hayat will be the chief guests of the launching ceremony. The program will also feature an open mic session on inter-agency synergy for drug prevention, student well-being, and best practices in higher education, followed by a keynote address on higher education policy priorities.

Exhibition and Collaboration

Participants will later tour an exhibition showcasing community service projects undertaken by students from BNU and other universities in Lahore. The event will be attended by government representatives, vice chancellors, experts, and stakeholders to foster collaboration in creating safer and more supportive academic environments nationwide.
