According to official sources, an Indian Sikh pilgrim, Kartar Singh, experienced a severe heart attack while attending the ongoing Baisakhi festival in Nankana Sahib. The situation was immediately addressed by the concerned authorities, with Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora taking prompt action to facilitate the patient's urgent transfer to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore via Rescue 1122 services.

In close coordination with Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique and under the instructions of Medical Superintendent Dr. Amir Rafiq Butt, Kartar Singh received immediate and advanced emergency treatment at PIC.
