Three-Day Buner Cultural Festival Starts Sunday

A three-day cultural festival celebrating Buner’s heritage, traditional sports and youth talent will begin on Sunday, bringing together athletes, artisans and performers from across the district. The “Buner Gul Da Namair 2026” festival, which will continue until Tuesday, aims to showcase the region’s rich cultural traditions, natural beauty and sporting spirit through a range of cultural and recreational activities.

Festival Programme and Activities

The programme includes sporting competitions, cultural performances, exhibitions of local handicrafts and events highlighting the creativity, skills and potential of young people. The festival is designed to engage the community and promote constructive activities among the youth.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Syed Fakhar Jehan said the festival reflected the provincial government’s commitment to preserving the region’s cultural heritage while encouraging constructive engagement among young people. He said such events played an important role in promoting traditional values, nurturing local talent and projecting a positive image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
