The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs4.95 per kilogram. This decision was communicated through an official notification issued on June 1, 2026.
New LPG Prices Announced
According to the notification, the new price of LPG has been set at Rs308.76 per kilogram, up from the previous rate. Consequently, the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder for the month of June has been fixed at Rs3,643.41. The revised prices are effective immediately from today.
Impact on Consumers
Experts have expressed concern that this price hike will place an additional financial burden on domestic consumers. Commercial users are also expected to face higher costs related to LPG usage. The increase comes amid ongoing economic challenges in the country.
Background
OGRA regularly reviews and adjusts fuel prices based on global market trends and other factors. This latest adjustment reflects changes in international LPG prices and supply chain dynamics. Consumers are advised to plan their expenses accordingly as the new rates take effect.
