Broader Context of Jordan-Pakistan Defense Ties

This engagement follows a visit by King Abdullah of Jordan to Pakistan in November, where he toured Global Industrial and Defense Solutions, the country’s largest defense manufacturer, in Rawalpindi. During that visit, the king met with Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Pakistani army chief, and other senior officials to discuss further strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

The recent meeting in Amman signals a continuation of efforts to build a robust defense partnership, with drones emerging as a key area of collaboration given their growing role in modern warfare and surveillance.
