At least three people were killed on Saturday in Hujra Shah Muqeem, a city in Depalpur Tehsil of Okara district, when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle and fled the scene.
Rescue Response and Identification
According to rescue officials, the incident occurred in Qila Yousaf Bhatti near Qila Deewan Singh, claiming three lives. Shortly after receiving the report, Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) for legal and medical formalities.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Mumtaz, son of Allah Ditta, aged 46; Shoaib Akhtar, son of Mukhtiar Ahmad, aged 45; and Abdullah, son of Mohammad Afzal, a resident of 27-ERB Arifwala.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have launched a search for the fleeing vehicle. No arrests have been reported so far. The incident has sparked concern over road safety in the area.
