Saudi Arabia Launches Second Culinary Arts Program

The Culinary Arts Commission has launched the second Academic Culinary Arts Program to prepare a new generation of Saudi chefs and culinary professionals through specialized education and practical training. The initiative supports broader efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s creative economy under Vision 2030 while creating career pathways for Saudis in the culinary sector.

The 12-month program combines academic study with hands-on training and is offered in partnership with accredited Saudi universities and specialized academies. Applications are open until July 31 for applicants aged 18 and above who hold a high school diploma or a university degree, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The program is one of the commission’s strategic initiatives to develop national talent in the culinary field. By combining classroom learning with practical training, it prepares graduates for a range of careers while supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to position gastronomy as part of its cultural identity and tourism offering.

The commission added that the program aligns with ongoing efforts to invest in human capital and create sustainable career pathways in one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing creative sectors.
