LRCA AGM Approves 2025-26 Budget, Hails Four National Titles

The Lahore Regional Cricket Association (LRCA) held its pivotal annual general meeting, charting a course for financial accountability and youth development while celebrating a historic year of on-field success.

Financial Governance and Future Planning Endorsed

Presided over by LRCA President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed, the meeting at the LCCA Ground conference room saw unanimous approval of key financial items. The audited financial report for the 2024–25 fiscal year was passed, demonstrating the general body's trust in the association's fiscal management. Looking ahead, the budget for the upcoming 2025–26 financial year was also formally ratified.

To ensure ongoing transparency, the members endorsed the appointment of Qadeer & Company as the external audit firm for the 2025–26 fiscal year. This decision was taken unanimously to reinforce financial accountability.

A Focus on Youth and Stellar Performance Review

In a major move for grassroots cricket, the general body approved the organization of the LRCA–Kaizen Paint U-17 and U-15 cricket tournaments. It was decided that the U-17 event will be held in December, followed by the U-15 tournament in January, directly investing in the next generation of cricketers.

Manager Cricket Operations Abid Hussain presented a detailed annual performance report, which highlighted exceptional achievements. The association was lauded for an unprecedented feat of winning four national titles in a single year: the National T20, National U-19, National U-17, and National U-15 championships. Members credited President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed's merit-based leadership for this sustained success across age groups.

Operational Reviews and Recognitions

The meeting conducted a thorough review of the ongoing PCB Inter-Club Cricket Tournaments in all three zones of the Lahore Region, expressing satisfaction with their progress. The performance of ground staff at both the LCCA Ground and Ittefaq LRCA Ground was also examined and declared satisfactory, with resolutions to implement further measures for enhanced maintenance and efficiency.

In recognition of their diligent service, Finance Manager Mian Aslam and Manager Cricket Operations Abid Hussain were awarded certificates of appreciation for their effective oversight of LRCA's financial and cricketing matters.

The session concluded with a reinforced commitment to unity and to further strengthening cricket development and administration throughout the Lahore Region.
