BALAKOT: More than 130,000 tourists explored various destinations in Kaghan Valley during the three days of Eidul Azha. The Babusar Top Road, recently reopened after a seven-month closure due to heavy snowfall and glaciers, drew many visitors from across the country.
Road Restoration Boosts Travel
The restoration of the road has made short journeys easier for locals and tourists heading to Gilgit. According to Kaghan Development Authority Director General Rehmat Ali Wazir, staff leaves were canceled during Eidul Azha to manage the influx of visitors.
Tourist Facilitation and Traffic Control
Tourist facilitation centers have been set up in Hussamabad, Kaghan, Naran, and other areas to guide visitors. Tourism police and traffic police are working to control traffic flow. On the second day of Eid alone, a record 74,000 tourists entered the valley, with a total of 130,000 visitors over the three days.
Tourists are flocking to Kaghan Valley due to the pleasant weather in the north, picturesque views, and fresh atmosphere.
