Sindh Assembly Unites in Strong Condemnation

The Sindh Assembly witnessed a powerful and unified response as a resolution was presented against the provocative statement made by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who had declared Sindh province as a part of India. The session, chaired by Speaker Owais Qadir Shah, saw member Mukesh Chawla introduce the resolution, which was met with strong condemnation from both government and opposition benches.

Members across the political spectrum made it unequivocally clear that Sindh will always be a part of Pakistan. They collectively denounced what they termed as an irresponsible and aggressive claim from India, emphasizing the unbreakable bond between Sindh and Pakistan.

Political Leadership and Public Stand Firm

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah addressed the house, stating that India would never succeed in its designs. He accused the Modi government of attempting to use rivers as a weapon, a tactic he strongly condemned. Members of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) highlighted the ongoing atrocities against Muslims in India and asserted that Pakistan's armed forces are fully prepared to give a befitting reply to any aggression.

The sentiment was echoed by members of the MQM and Jamaat-e-Islami, who also condemned the Indian statement and expressed confidence that India lacks the courage to confront Pakistan's military might.

Widespread Public Protests Erupt Across Sindh

Beyond the assembly walls, public anger and resentment were palpable. Protest rallies were taken out by students, teachers, and citizens in various cities of Sindh. In Dadu, a rally was led by Principal Kishore Lal and Peso Mal from the Government Param Anand Lal High School to the main DHQ Hospital.

Participants in these rallies labeled the Indian minister's remarks as irresponsible and hateful, firmly stating that Sindh has never been and will never be a part of India. They described Sindh as the heart of Pakistan, making any such controversial statement completely unacceptable. A similar protest march occurred in Jamshoro, where a large number of citizens marched from District Council Road to Main Jamshoro Road.

Governor Tessori Calls for International Action

Adding to the chorus of condemnation, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori strongly denounced the Indian Defence Minister's statement, describing it as a serious threat to regional peace and stability. In an official communique, he emphasized that Sindh is an integral and inseparable part of Pakistan, and any baseless claim is unacceptable.

Governor Tessori stressed that Pakistan is fully capable of safeguarding its sovereignty and national security and will thwart any malign intentions from adversaries. He urged the international community and global institutions to take strict notice of India's aggressive posture and play an active role in ensuring peace in the region. He concluded by affirming that while Pakistan is a peaceful nation, it possesses the full capability to respond decisively to protect its security and dignity.
