According to the chief minister, a total of 994,036 jobs have been created through a combination of government-led initiatives and comprehensive development programmes. The job creation has been categorized into several key areas:

  • Government Recruitment and Public Services: Approximately 315,536 jobs were generated through government recruitment drives, institutional reforms, and the expansion of essential public services. This includes positions in newly established Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics, schools, and the Saaf Punjab initiative, which aims to improve sanitation and public health.
  • Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Financing: Under the Asaan Karobar scheme, around 203,000 employment opportunities were provided. This programme focuses on offering financial support to SMEs, enabling them to expand operations and hire more workers, thereby stimulating local economies.
  • Development Projects: Nearly 475,500 direct and indirect jobs were linked to major infrastructure and housing projects. These include initiatives such as the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme, road infrastructure developments, and other construction-related activities that have spurred employment in various sectors.
