Pakistani security forces have successfully neutralized at least thirteen terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored militant group Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, military officials confirmed on Friday.
Joint Operation in Lakki Marwat
According to details released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces and law enforcement agencies conducted a joint operation in the general area of Paharkhel, located in Lakki Marwat District. The operation was launched after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the region.
During the intense engagement, security forces effectively targeted the terrorist positions. After a fierce fire exchange, ten terrorists were eliminated and sent to hell, as confirmed by the military's media wing. The successful operation demonstrated the precision and effectiveness of Pakistan's counter-terrorism efforts.
DI Khan Operation Yields Results
In a separate but simultaneous development, another intelligence-based operation was conducted in Dera Ismail Khan District. This operation resulted in the successful neutralization of three additional terrorists belonging to the same Indian proxy group.
Security forces recovered significant quantities of weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists during both operations. The ISPR statement emphasized that these terrorists were actively involved in numerous criminal activities, including targeting security forces, law enforcement agencies, and carrying out targeted killings of innocent civilians.
Continuing Counter-Terrorism Campaign
The military has confirmed that sanitization operations are currently underway in both areas to eliminate any remaining terrorists who might be hiding. Pakistan's relentless counter-terrorism campaign continues at full pace under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, which was recently approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan.
This comprehensive strategy aims to completely wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistani soil. The successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa demonstrate the security forces' determination to protect the nation from external threats and maintain peace and stability across the country.
