ICT Police inks MoUs for officer welfare, 594 cards issued

In a significant move to boost the welfare of its force, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has formalized major partnerships with top-tier health and educational institutions. The agreements, sealed through memorandums of understanding (MoUs), are designed to provide enhanced support to both serving and retired personnel as well as their families.

Healthcare Benefits for Police Personnel

According to a spokesperson for the ICT Police who spoke to the state news agency on Wednesday, a landmark healthcare agreement has already led to tangible results. Under this new initiative, 340 health cards for serving officers and 254 pensioner cards for retired personnel have been issued. This program enables the cardholders to access quality medical facilities across partnered institutions at significantly discounted rates, easing the financial burden of healthcare.

Educational Support for Families

Beyond healthcare, the welfare drive extends to the education of the next generation. The police force has entered into three separate MoUs with renowned educational institutions. These agreements specifically aim to support the children of martyrs, Ghazis, and currently serving officers. Under the new arrangements, these students will be eligible for special fee concessions, ensuring their educational pursuits are supported.

A Broader Welfare Initiative

These coordinated MoUs represent a comprehensive effort by the ICT Police administration to address the core welfare needs of its personnel. By securing affordable healthcare and subsidized education, the force is investing in the long-term well-being and morale of its members and their loved ones. This initiative underscores a commitment to recognizing the service and sacrifices made by police officers and their families in the federal capital.
