Rawalpindi TikTok Hair-Cutting Case Shelved, All Parties Missing
TikTok Hair-Cutting Case Shelved, Victim & Suspects Missing

A controversial case involving the forced hair-cutting of a TikTok girl, which sparked national outrage after a video went viral, has been unexpectedly shelved by Rawalpindi police with both the alleged victim and all suspects now missing.

Case Timeline and Police Contradictions

The case was officially registered on November 25 after a disturbing video showing a young TikToker having her hair forcibly cut circulated widely on social media platforms. Despite initial police claims of making four arrests and providing regular updates about the investigation, no suspects have been presented before any court in Rawalpindi or Islamabad during the past five days.

Police spokespersons who were initially very vocal about the case have suddenly fallen silent. Investigations reveal that the alleged victim, known on TikTok as Aiman Fatima, never actually filed a formal complaint with the police. Instead, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by police official Asad Hussain.

Jurisdictional Confusion and Settlement Details

The case originated from Lohi Bher police station in Islamabad but was subsequently transferred multiple times. After initial arrests were made, the case was moved to Rawat police station, where the Station House Officer refused to accept it due to its "dirty nature". It was eventually transferred to Naseerabad police station in Rawalpindi.

Sources reveal that the actual hair-cutting incident occurred during the first week of September when one group of boys allegedly punished Aiman Fatima after discovering she had been making videos with another group. The matter was brought before Islamabad police, where a financial settlement of Rs 150,000 was reached on September 10, effectively resolving the case at that time.

Criminal Network and Police Involvement

The case was reopened when one member of the group, who didn't receive his share of the settlement money, leaked the video and fled to Lahore. This triggered renewed clashes and extortion attempts between the involved groups.

According to reliable sources, SHO Naseerabad Sikandar now claims that no arrests were ever made in this case, despite Rawalpindi police having publicly released data and blurred photographs of four arrested suspects. Judicial Magistrate Sofia Bibi confirmed that between September 25 and 29, no suspects were produced before her court, and no duty magistrate has granted remand since November 25.

Investigations uncovered that the entire episode was orchestrated by a criminal gang that targets uneducated young girls with promises of TikTok fame. The gang stages dramatic incidents like hair-cutting and then leaks the videos to generate revenue. Some police officials are allegedly involved in this criminal racket.

The victim was reportedly presented under a fake name, and police were instructed to handle the matter as if it fell under Naseerabad jurisdiction, despite the incident actually occurring in Lohi Bher, Islamabad, where it had been settled months earlier.

When journalists approached Aiman's parents in Dhoke Khaba, they expressed anger and revealed that their daughter had run away from home, refusing to discuss the matter further. Sources indicate the TikToker was involved in creating videos with multiple groups of boys for financial compensation.

Currently, the alleged victim remains missing, all suspects have disappeared, and the case has been officially closed, raising serious concerns about police conduct, potential internal collusion, and the operations of criminal networks exploiting social media platforms in Pakistan.
