In a significant move to address public grievances directly, the Rawalpindi Region's top police official conducted an open court session in Fateh Jang. This initiative is part of the Punjab government's ongoing policy to bridge the gap between citizens and the administration.
Open Court Addresses Citizen Concerns
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region Syed Khalid Hamdani presided over the public hearing. He was accompanied by key district police officials, including District Police Officer Attock Sardar Mawarhan Khan, SP Investigation Attock Zainab Ayub, and SP Headquarters Rawalpindi Sardar Babar.
During the session, local residents submitted their written applications detailing various issues and complaints. Demonstrating a commitment to immediate action, RPO Syed Khalid Hamdani issued on-the-spot orders on many of these applications. He instructed the concerned officers to resolve the highlighted problems on a priority basis, ensuring a tangible outcome for the complainants.
Top Priority: Uninterrupted Justice for Citizens
Addressing the attendees, RPO Hamdani underscored the core mission of the police force. He stated that providing justice to citizens without any interference or interruption stands among their top priorities. He affirmed that all possible steps are being taken to uphold this principle, reinforcing public trust in the law enforcement system.
Post-Court Police Station Inspections
Following the open court, RPO Syed Khalid Hamdani conducted surprise visits to the Fateh Jang Police Station and the Qutbal Police Station (New Airport). His inspection tour included a thorough review of the front desk operations and other office areas within the stations.
During this review, he focused on administrative and operational standards. The RPO issued clear instructions to further improve cleanliness and sanitation at the police facilities. This directive aims to enhance the working environment for officers and the experience for citizens visiting the stations.
A Tangible Step in Open Governance
This event marks a practical implementation of the Punjab government's open door policy. By personally listening to complaints and directing immediate follow-ups, the senior police leadership has demonstrated a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The subsequent station inspections further signal an emphasis on accountability and proper management at all levels of the police hierarchy in the Attock district and Rawalpindi region.
