In a decisive blow to narcotics and illegal weapons networks, the Khairpur District Police have conducted a highly successful operation, leading to significant seizures and arrests. The action, carried out under the directives of the Sindh Inspector General of Police, marks a continued effort to cleanse the region of criminal activities.
Major Haul and Arrests in Twin Operations
Acting on credible intelligence, a police team led by DSP Asdullah Bhatti and SHO Allah Wadayo Pitafi from the Khairpur police station moved into action. They successfully apprehended two alleged drug traffickers, identified as Mohammad Sohail Pathan and Danish Pathan, both residents of Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The police recovered a substantial quantity of narcotics from the suspects. A total of 30 kilograms of hashish was found cleverly concealed inside gas cylinders, highlighting the sophisticated methods employed by the traffickers.
In a separate but simultaneous action, Station House Officer Kot Digi, Manshad Ali Kalwar, conducted a snap check near the Mohabbat Wah area. This operation led to the arrest of two more individuals involved in drug pushing, Asif Ali Rind and Shaman Ali Rind. From their possession, police recovered 67 bottles of English whiskey, further indicating the scope of illicit trade being targeted.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur, Dr. Samiullah Soomro, confirmed the details of the operations. He emphasized the police department's unwavering commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs from society.
"The campaign against narcotics will continue till the elimination of this menace," stated Dr. Soomro. He made it clear that there will be no leniency shown towards drug dealers, traffickers, or their facilitators. This stern warning underscores the ongoing nature of the crackdown.
