In a significant blow to narcotics operations in the region, Multan police have intensified their crackdown on drug suppliers with two major successful operations conducted on November 19.
Major Liquor Recovery in Old Sabzi Mandi
The Bohar Gate Police Station executed a targeted raid in the Old Sabzi Mandi area located on Hassan Parwana Road. During this carefully planned operation, law enforcement officers apprehended a suspect identified as Amir Gul.
Police authorities made substantial recoveries from the scene, confiscating more than 450 litres of locally produced liquor along with over 50 bottles of imported wine. The seizure represents one of the significant drug busts in the recent police campaign against narcotics suppliers in Multan.
Heroin Seizure During Routine Patrol
In a separate but equally important action, the Kup Police Station demonstrated vigilance during their routine patrolling duties. The police team, led by SHO Farooq Akhtar and accompanied by ASI Abdul Qudoos along with other officers, arrested an alleged drug dealer from Mohalla Malik Murad.
The suspect, identified as Muhammad Amir, was found in possession of dangerous narcotics. During the arrest, police recovered over one kilogram of heroin from the alleged drug dealer, preventing substantial quantities of illegal substances from reaching the streets.
Legal Proceedings Initiated
Following the successful operations, police authorities have registered separate cases against both outlaws at their respective police stations. The crackdown continues as part of Multan police's determined efforts to combat the narcotics trade and drug dealing activities in the city.
These operations highlight the ongoing commitment of Multan police to maintain law and order and protect citizens from the dangers of drug abuse and illegal substance distribution. The recovered narcotics have been taken into police custody as evidence for the legal proceedings ahead.
