Lodhran to Get Major Facelift: DC Chairs Meeting on City Beautification
Lodhran Beautification Plan Unveiled in High-Level Meeting

In a significant move to enhance urban aesthetics, the Lodhran district administration has launched a comprehensive city beautification drive. A high-level meeting was convened to finalize plans that align with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Key Decisions for Urban Transformation

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf, saw the participation of senior officials including Additional Deputy Commissioners Syed Waseem Hassan and Liaqat Ali Gillani. Also present were Architect Engineer Rizwan Bhatti, CEO Syed Muslehuddin, and District Officer Information Muhammad Mohsin.

A detailed review was conducted for the proposed beautification of three major sites: Super Chowk, Gangewala Park, and the Model Market. Architect Rizwan Bhatti presented various design concepts and proposals to revitalize these key areas.

Specific Development Directives

Addressing the officials, the Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions. He directed the installation of illuminated fountains along the roadsides at Super Chowk. He also ordered the development of road medians with unique and aesthetically pleasing patterns.

In a move to celebrate local identity, the DC stated that all city entry gates should be designed to reflect the region's cultural heritage. Furthermore, the existing Rehri Bazaar will be completely developed and renamed as "Model Market." The plan includes introducing modern decorative elements to significantly upgrade its overall look.

For recreational spaces, Gangewala Town Park is set for a major upgrade. The DC directed that the park be illuminated with colorful lights to make it more attractive and inviting for citizens and families.

Comprehensive Beautification Vision

The discussions also covered proposals for installing artistically designed gates at the new Model Market, using colorful tiles, and placing informative signboards at strategic locations across Lodhran.

Reaffirming the administration's commitment, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf stated that these comprehensive beautification initiatives are aimed at a singular goal: transforming Lodhran into a model city for others to follow. This project marks a concerted effort to improve public spaces, promote local culture, and enhance the quality of life for all residents.
