The Landi Kotal Press Club has ushered in a new era of leadership following a successful and democratic election held on its premises. The local journalist community came together to cast their votes, resulting in the selection of a fresh governing body tasked with representing their interests and advancing the club's mission.

New Leadership Takes the Helm

In a decisive victory, Shah Fahad Khan was elected as the new President of the Landi Kotal Press Club. The election, which saw active participation from club members, also filled other key positions in the executive cabinet. Noor Wali Khan secured the role of Senior Vice President, while Shakeel Ahmad Shinwari was elected as General Secretary.

The newly formed cabinet is rounded out by several other officials who will support the club's operations. Ihsanullah will serve as Finance Secretary, and Fida Muhammad takes on the responsibility of Joint Secretary. The role of Press Secretary has been entrusted to Muhammad Ali Shinwari.

Completing the Executive Body

Further strengthening the administrative team, members elected Sajjad Afridi as the Information Secretary. The governing council also includes three elected members: Fazal Subhan, Sajjad Hussain, and Saifullah. To ensure the integrity of the club's financial dealings, Noor Saba and Muhammad Javed were appointed as auditors.

The entire electoral process was conducted under the watchful eye of an election commission, ensuring transparency and fairness. The commission was chaired by Shamsul Qamar Yusufzai, with Fazal Raheem and Muhammad Jamshed serving as its members, overseeing the smooth execution of the vote.

A Pledge for Progress and Unity

Following the announcement of the results, the newly elected President, Shah Fahad Khan, addressed the members. He expressed his profound gratitude for the trust placed in him by the journalist community of Landi Kotal. President Khan outlined his commitment to tackling the pressing challenges faced by local journalists and vowed to work tirelessly for the betterment and development of the Press Club.

His vision includes fostering a more unified and empowered journalistic fraternity in the Khyber district. The new cabinet has pledged to prioritize the welfare of its members, advocate for press freedom, and enhance the professional capacity of journalists operating in the region. This election marks a significant step towards a more organized and vocal press community in Landi Kotal.
