Land Retrieved from Illegal Occupants in Layyah

In a significant move to protect the rights of vulnerable citizens, the district administration in Layyah has successfully reclaimed a substantial piece of land from illegal occupants and returned it to its rightful owner.

Administration Acts on Widow's Plea

The action was initiated after Zahra Bibi, a resident of Mouza Pati Sami in Tehsil Chaubara, filed an application with the Dispute Resolution Committee. She reported that her property, measuring a total of 330 kanals, had been unlawfully occupied. Taking immediate notice of the complaint, Deputy Commissioner Ameerah Bidar issued direct orders for its recovery.

Swift Recovery Operation

Assistant Commissioner Chaubara Nadeem Arshad led the operation to reclaim the land. He was accompanied by a team of revenue officials and local police to ensure the process was carried out smoothly and lawfully. The team successfully vacated the illegally occupied land and handed over possession to Zahra Bibi.

"We are grateful to the district administration for restoring our land," said Manzoor Hussain, Zahra Bibi's husband, expressing his family's relief and appreciation for the swift justice.

A Stern Warning to Illegal Occupants

Following the successful recovery, Deputy Commissioner Ameerah Bidar made a strong statement reaffirming the administration's commitment to protecting the weak. She emphasized that the Punjab Immovable Property Protection Ordinance is designed to safeguard the properties of widows, orphans, and other vulnerable individuals.

She issued a clear warning to all illegal occupants, stating they must vacate such properties voluntarily or be prepared to face strict legal consequences. This action in Layyah is seen as part of a broader crackdown to ensure justice and uphold property rights across the district.
